Owner and founder of The Tax Return Adviser

I started working in tax back in 1986 and since 1998 I have been building and heading the practice to provide tax and accountancy services for private clients and small businesses.

I deal with all types of taxation from inheritance tax (IHT), trusts, individuals, small businesses and property management; dealing with personal, trust, IHT, payroll, VAT and corporation tax advice as well as all the planning required alongside this to support clients.

I enjoy making what can often be very complex accountancy information easy to understand for people and I most like helping clients settle their tax affairs when in times of difficulty as it can definitely help with peace of mind and reducing stress levels.

Before starting my own firm, I worked at HMRC in York as a tax officer and prior to that at three medium sized firms of accountants working my way up the career path while studying for and passing my taxation exams in 1992/93.

  Equity Release (Certs CII (MP & ER))
